December 31st

Since we couldn't make it to Memphis for the Bowl Game, we had a big party at Mimi & Papa's to celebrate.  We got a TON of food from Smokey D's and Chick-fil-A and Chris made ribs.  There was a house full of people cheering on the Cyclones but they just couldn't get it together.  Zach was in bed by 10.  Chris woke me up at 11:45pm to watch the ball drop with him.  We are such party animals!  Happy 2013!

Sadly these 2 were much more entertaining than the game

Who said Ninja Turtles have to be mean and tough?  I LOVE this sweet & innocent one!

December 26th

Poor Chris had to go back to work today.  Zach and I enjoyed a lazy day at home playing Ninja Turtles & skate boarding.  We also had all of the Christmas decorations down by noon.  I couldn't handle the chaos of the new toys & Christmas decor!

December 25th - Farm Christmas

After our surf & turf (crab legs & steak) lunch, we all took a long afternoon nap.  It was so long in fact we almost missed Christmas at the farm...good thing Kyle called and woke us up.  We had a great time playing games with everyone at the farm.  Zach was definitely the entertainment.

Can you spot the difference?  Haha

December 25th - Huntrod Christmas

After we played with our Santa toys for a bit, we showered and got dressed back in pajamas & headed to Mimi & Papa's.  Kyle & Amber had stayed the night so they were all ready for us.  The highlight (besides all of the amazing gifts) were the crab legs!  Mimi bought a few extra with pinchers just for pictures!

December 25th

Christmas Eve Zach left milk and special food out on the driveway for Santa's reindeer and milk & cookies on the counter for Santa.  He was so excited about Christmas morning.  I took video of him coming down the stairs and forgot about the camera.  He ran and screamed when he saw the Ninja Turtle Lair he wanted.  If he only knew what Santa had to do to get him one!  Chris and I enjoyed every second of our little man ripping open his presents.  It was a magical morning.  The picture of Zach holding up a pink gift is a present to me he wrapped all by himself.  He was so proud!

December 24th

For Elfie's last day, he brought Zach some special keys to leave on our front door each Christmas Eve.  Since we don't have a chimney, Santa will use them to deliver toys on Christmas.

We had our first Christmas at Grandma & Papa Palmer's Christmas Eve at 10am.  We opened presents first and then had a great meal of a HUGE delicious ham.  Chris was in heaven.  Tony got all of the boys stocking caps with knit beards on them which was pretty hilarious.  Zach got a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle van and was thrilled!  Noah, Zach, & Memphis had a great time playing together with all of their awesome new toys!

Christmas Eve night we headed to Great Grandma Palmer's to celebrate.  Zach got a remote controlled monster truck which he had fun racing with Noah.  It was a great day filled with family and fun!

December 23rd

We found Elfie sitting on the window garland with a new Spiderman toy for Zach on Sunday.  We had a lazy family day and made a drive-in car for Zach to sit in and watch movies.  Later in the afternoon the car became a rocket ship.  It was a nice calm day before all of the Christmas excitement to come!

December 22nd

This morning Elfie was giving Captain America a ride in an airplane under the Christmas tree.

Saturday Chris spent the day hanging out with Joe and some buddies doing guy stuff.  Zach and I headed to my parents to bake cookies.  I have to admit we bought pre-made dough.  To keep the attention of a 3 year old, you skip the boring parts and concentrate on the fun.  We ate A LOT of dough and decorated each other faces with flour and frosting.  Zach PILED on the sprinkles and loved that there were no rules to decorating.  Mimi & Zach invented a game with belts and a computer chair.  One played Santa in his sleigh which was pulled by a reindeer around the kicthen.  There were lots and lots of giggles.

December 21st

Friday morning we found Elfie having a picnic with all of Zach's favorite furry friends (Santa Reindeer, Elfie, & Truman).  They had even set a spot up for him.  Daddy wasn't too happy about cake & juice for breakfast, but with Christmas just a few days away we couldn't say no and end up on Santa's naughty list.  Elfie brought a Lego mini-figure that happened to be Santa!

December 20th

Elfie must have wished he was outside playing in all of the snow, because this morning we found him on a shelf making snowmen from marshmallows!

December 19th

This morning Elfie was sitting under the tree with Ninja Turtles toys.  He had Leonardo's swords and was wearing Raphael's red mask.  He brought a reindeer slap bracelet.  After daycare Zach had to dress up like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle too!
