At least someone isn't sick of the snow yet!

This year I decided Valentine's Day is a lot of work for moms!  We had to make a Valentine's Day box for Preschool and Zach had to write out Valentines for all of his preschool friends.  Combine that with daycare Valentines and my mom's birthday...well it was a busy week!  I volunteered for Zach's party at school and it was adorable to watch them all play together.  My station was to help the kids frost and decorate sugar cookies.  Let me tell you something I learned, 3 & 4 year olds LOVE sprinkles.  I didn't get any pictures because I was trying to tame the chaos!

This picture was taken at Mimi's birthday Valentine's Day dinner...about 4 hours before Zach came down with the stomach flu.  After he got sick, Uncle Kyle got it, Mimi got it, Papa got it, and then Chris & I got it.  It was one strong, fast moving flu bug!

It should be no surprise to anyone who knows Chris to find out Zach loves steak.  For the past year he has been sneaking steak off our plates at dinner.  A few weeks ago Chris told Zach that once he turned 4 he could get his own steak when we grilled.  Tonight was Zach's first meal with his very own grilled steak!

I am not sure which is sweeter, the M&M or my Tater Bug!

Sunday was Zach's first "friend" birthday party.  A little boy in his preschool class named Montavien celebrated his birthday at The Playground in Ankeny.  It was a joint party with his brother who turned 6.  There were 30 kids there so it was full of chaos, but Zach had a blast!

Saturday was BACONFEST!  We had a great time walking around stuffing ourselves with bacon creations.  My favorite was the bacon gelato & the bacon explosion sandwich.  Chris really liked peppered bacon & jalapeno bacon.  The next day I think we were both sweating bacon out of our pores!

The bond these two share is really quite amazing to watch.

Our boy is Student of the Week this week at Preschool.  His homework was to complete a big poster about himself and practice telling about it.  Ms.Megan said he did great in front of the class!
