December 31st

We decided to have our very own New Year's Eve party this year with just the 3 of us.  We shot off confetti guns, played with silly string, and danced to music.  At 11pm we watched the ball drop in NYC.  I couldn't decide which handsome boy to kiss...so we had a family kiss.  At 11:10 we all laid in bed and watched Curious George, and watched the ball drop again at midnight and celebrated with another family kiss.  If 2012 is even half as good as 2011, I will consider myself very blessed.  Happy New Year!

The Cyclone bowl game may not have turned out like we had hoped, but we sure had fun watching!  There's always next year, right?

My little Picasso received an art easel for Christmas.  Today we put it together and let him go crazy.  One side is a chalk board, and the other is a white board.  It also holds a big roll of paper for painting.  IKEA thinks of everything!

After a VERY busy Christmas day, Zach was so excited to get to stay home all day and play with his new toys!

Christmas 2011

Zach was SO excited when he woke up Christmas morning.  He ran downstairs and turned on the Christmas tree and saw his new (pedal) dirt bike and could not stop smiling.  He climbed right up on it and was not interested in any other presents for about 15 minutes.  When he opened up a truck/boat set from Bass Pro, he kept saying over and over "Oh my gosh...oh my gosh..."  It was the best Christmas morning ever, and I have had some good ones!  My cheeks hurt from smiling and my heart was full of love.  All throughout the day he would tell me "I cannot believe Santa got me a dirt bike.  I cannot believe it."  Believe it buddy!  Santa would bring you the moon if he could.  You are so full of joy and sweetness, we just feel so blessed you are ours!

The first stop on our Christmas extravaganza was Mimi & Papa's house.  Zach got a drum set (that is staying at their house!) and a Cyclone football uniform and helmet.  Although there was no snow, Uncle Kyle pulled him around the yard in his new snowmobile sled.

We feel so blessed most of our family lives so close.  Our next stop was Great Grandma Palmer's.  Zach got a Spider man helmet and backpack, and I got homemade salsa!  By this time it was finally warm enough Zach could ride his new bike up and down the sidewalk.  He pedalled so well!

Our last stop on Christmas was the farm.  I don't remember too many Christmas days where it was warm enough for 4 wheeler and tractor rides!  Zach had a blast playing with everyone...but especially Jenna!

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Christmas so special this year!  We love you all!

Elfie Day #27

Christmas Eve

Today was Elfie's last morning with our family this year.  When Santa delivers presents tonight, Elfie will go with him back to the North Pole.  He left a note saying Santa said Zach could give Elfie 1 hug and 1 kiss goodbye without his magic going away.  It was so cute to watch!  Elfie was sitting in the new remote controlled truck Kyle & Amber had gotten Zach the night before.

We started our Christmas celebrations at Craig & Peggy's for lunch Christmas Eve.  Zach got a Batman house, and was thrilled.  He had fun playing with Noah and helping everyone open gifts.

After a nap, we celebrated Christmas with Aunt Nancy & Grandma Bailey along with Randy, Jenny, Noah, & Memphis at our house.  Poor Jenny came down with the flu, so it was quite the night for her.

Once everyone left, it was time to set out cookies for Santa!  Zach could hardly contain his excitement!

Elfie Day #26

This morning Elfie drew a mustache, glasses, and Santa hat on a picture of Zach.  Elfie also had the same disguise on...so they were twins!

Tonight we went to Kyle & Amber's for a little Christmas party.  After we had some snacks and played a few games, they surprised everyone by telling us a limo was coming in 15 minutes to take us to see Christmas lights!  Zach thought it was the best thing ever to be in a big car without a car seat.  It was a great night, and truly amazing Kyle & Amber were able to keep a secret that long!

Elfie Day #25

Just like Zach, Elfie must love an adventure!  This morning we found Elfie taking a balloon ride around the living room.  After a very close call, we turned off the ceiling fan and Zach led Elfie from room to room in his balloons.

Elfie Day #24

This morning we caught Elfie having a bubble bath!  He brought Zach his own bubble bath and bath crayon set, which Zach can't wait to use tonight.

Yesterday Zach got to open his first official Christmas present.  I was a little worried because on the way home from Karen's, he told me he didn't want to rip it and maybe we should open it with scissors.  Once I put the package in front of him, he knew exactly what to do and started ripping away!

Elfie Day #23

Elfie must be in the decorating mood, because today he redecorated our big Christmas tree...with toilet paper!  He T.P.-ed the whole thing!  To keep the silly theme going, he brought Zach a can of Silly String, which we had to open this morning and play with before daycare.
