October 31st

Halloween night we ran out to the farm to trick-or-treat with Grandma Huntrods & Uncle Jim.  Zach LOVES the farm and his favorite place has to be the tractor room!  It's every little boy's dream come true.

October 30th - Night

Wednesday was Beggar's Night in Ankeny.  They kept forecasting rain but it turned out to be a beautiful night.  Zach had fun going around the neighborhood for about an hour.  Then we visited Grandma Bailey, Joe & Kelly's, Kyle & Amber's, and Mimi & Papa's.  By the time we got home we had to carry our little football player to bed.  Halloween 2013 was a success!

October 30th - Day

Wednesday was a Halloween party at Karen's house.  She had all kinds of toys and goodies and games for the kiddos.  Zach & I made monster donuts.  I stopped by around 11 to see all of the kids dressed up and to watch them bob for apples.  It was cuteness overload!

October 28th

Monday night we trick-or-treated with Noah & Memphis at Grandma & Papa Palmer's house for candy, toys, & pizza.  All 3 boys were very handsome (and tough!) football players.

October 27th - Evening

Sunday evening we went to Night Eyes at the Blank Park Zoo.  The weather was wonderful and we actually got to see some animals.  It was a great way to kick off Halloween week with our little Miami Dolphins football player.

October 27th

Sunday was a beautiful Fall day.  In the morning, Chris worked in the garage while I raked leaves and Zach rode his bike.  Tony ordered a horse mask for Halloween and it finally came this weekend.  He has been wearing it non-stop much to Zach's delight...and much to our annoyance!  In the afternoon we headed out to a pumpkin patch to soak up some more sun!

October 26th

Zach's favorite friend at preschool is Topher.  Topher was in Zach's class last year as well and also played against him in soccer this Fall.  Zach was THRILLED when Topher got to pick one friend from preschool to attend his birthday party (along with some church friends) and he picked Zach.  It was a Ninja Turtles theme party and the boys had a great time.

Saturday night Chris & I had tickets to the Bob & Tom Comedy tour.  While we were getting ready Zach decided he wanted to dress up for his date with Grandma & Papa & Grandma's friend Lori.  He looked pretty darn handsome and we all had a great night!

October 19th

Saturday night was the Huntrod Annual Jack-Off (Jack-o-lantern carve-off).  Kyle & Amber came dressed as Bob Ross & a Painted Tree.  Mimi & Papa were Cyclone Fred & Wilma Flintstone.  The carving started off pretty rough.  Zach is fighting a lung infection and couldn't deal with Kyle teasing him with pumpkin guts.  He got so worked up the poor kid puked in the gut bucket.  After a few deep breaths he was back and ready to carve.  He LOVED using the drill and really got into once I cleaned out the pumpkins.  It's always an adventure with our family!

October 18th - Night

Friday night we took Zach to the circus for the first time.  When we first got there he was totally freaked out.  He had gotten it in his mind that he was afraid of clowns.  Turns out there was only 1 clown in the whole show and he had a great time.  Our favorite acts were the motorcycle globe and the elephants.  It was a great (and expensive...$10 for a snow cone...really?!?!) night!

October 18th - Day

Last Friday was Zach's Fall party at Preschool.  I volunteered and had a great time watching the chaos.  I was in charge of pumpkin bowling and got quite the work out.  I don't know how those teachers do it everyday with 19 4-year-olds!

October 5th - 12th - FL Vacation 10 FINAL

On the last night of our trip, we all went on a sunset dolphin cruise.  It was an amazing and relaxing way to end our vacation.  I miss Florida already.  Thanks for an amazing trip Huntrod family!

October 5th - 12th - FL Vacation 9

Beautiful Florida sunsets.  No other words needed.
