Cheering on the Cyclones sure is hard work for this little girl!

ISU vs. TCU game

January 26th - Dinner

To celebrate Zach's birthday, we had dinner at Tokyo Steak House in Ankeny.  Chris and I had been there once and noticed they celebrate birthdays in a fun way so we knew Zach would love it.  We had the hibachi dinner which they cook right in front of you which is always fun.  After the meal they played birthday music, had strobe lights, and brought out the mask for Zach to wear.  He had a great time!  We ended the night by looking at pictures from Zach's first year.  Chris & I adore that little boy!

January 26th

Today Zach turned 6!  When he woke up we let him open 1 present which was a Nike jersey he wore all day.  Chris took the day off and had lunch with him at school.  We both picked him up at 3 and he got to open more presents before we headed to the Blank NICU to drop-off cookies for the nurses.  I cannot believe how time flies.

January 25th - Palmer dinner

We had Palmer Sunday dinner tonight.  We brought a cake to celebrate our little man turning 6.  Tony gave Z a Cyclone & a Jayhawk hat for his birthday and those two are always happy to pose for a picture together.

For Christmas, Zach made Bailey a special stuffed Santa at Build-a-Bear named Luke Kangaroo.  When you squeeze it's hand, it plays Zach saying "Merry Christmas Bailey, I love you!"  When we were there, he REALLY wanted a stuffed dog for himself.  I promised him he could make one for his birthday so today, to kick-off the birthday celebrations, we headed to Build-a-Bear and Zach made Jack Tiger.  I am not sure how he comes up with these names but he is very happy with Jack.

January 23rd

Today Southeast Elementary celebrated the 100th day of school.  They played games and did crafts and math activities all day.  The group pictures are of his class and then all 4 kindergarten classes at SE.

January 22nd

Tonight Zach helped me make ruffled party streamers with the sewing machine for his birthday party.  He did an amazing job sewing!

Love these two and the way she is always watching him.  He gets the biggest smiles and laughs from her out of everyone.  She is one lucky little girl to have him.

January 14th

Zach lost a tooth today at school.  He said he was eating lunch and realized his tooth fell out.  He went to the nurse and another teacher looked for the tooth and found it stuck in his cinammon roll!  They put the tooth in a treasure chest and gave him a certificate.  He said all of the kids in his class made a big deal out of it but he told them "guys, it's just a little tooth."  Classic ZTP.

January 12th

I can't wait to watch their relationship develop.  He is so great at sharing with her so far!

January 11th

Ankeny Parks & Rec had a basketball clinic with the Iowa Energy today and we stayed for the game.  Zach wore his jersey from last year.  Today's giveaway was a stocking cap.  It was a very fun afternoon full of basketball.

January 10th

Today we headed to the farm to celebrate my grandma's 86th birthday.  It was great to see everyone and celebrate an amazing lady!

January 4th

Zach is very into the NFL playoffs and insists on watching ALL of the games.  Last year Chris went to Cincinnati for work and brought back a Bengals sweatshirt for Zach.  One of Chris' co-workers sent Bailey some Bengals onesies when she was born so Zach wanted them to match today while watching the game.

January 3rd - Monster Jam

Saturday night Chris & Zach went to Monster Jam with Randy, Noah, & Craig.  The boys had a great time!

January 3rd

Saturday was Zach's first Little Dunkers basketball game of the season.  He thinks Bailey is his good luck charm so I made her a purple (his team colors) basketball bow.  After the game we celebrated Amber's 2nd 29th birthday at Noodle Zoo (I was too busy stuffing my face to get a picture of the birthday girl).
