Today was Zach's last day of Kindergarten!  I am so proud of how much he has learned and how great he is reading.  He had a baseball game tonight so we celebrated afterwards with Orange Leaf.

May 25th - Memorial Day

We had a great and busy Memorial Day!  We started the day off with brunch at Prairie Meadows followed by some horse racing.  Later we went to Heritage Park to ride the carousel.  We ended the day celebrating Grandma Bailey's 85th birthday!

Zach, Chris, & Craig put out flags for Memorial Day with the Sons of the American Legion.  Chris sent me this picture of our helper.  I couldn't be any prouder of my little man!

Tonight we went to a beautiful country wedding for one of Chris' former co-workers.  It was a great time and Zach had a blast playing with all of the other kids.  I painted Bailey's toenails for the first time for the occasion!  Congrats Amy & Seth!

Cooking supper each night isn't so bad when this is your view in the kitchen.

Tonight we had Family Game Night.  I bet you can't guess who won?

They make quite the adorable pair.

Happy Mother's Day!  We had a great time having lunch with the Huntrods & supper with the Palmers.  I didn't get a picture of myself (or my mom) today so I am adding one at the bottom from another day.

The first picture is of my very happy girl at 6:30am this morning.  That little stinker does not like to sleep in most days.

The second picture is a happy baby at her brother's baseball game.

Friday was the end of year celebration for kindergartners at Southeast Elementary.  Chris & I were there for 2 hours and got to see all of the stations they have been working on throughout the year.  They even did a Reader's Theater (Zach was X) that was so adorable.  Zach had his lines memorized and did a great job.  He has learned so much this year and we will miss his teacher a lot!  First grade here he comes!

May 4th

Zach's kindergarten class went on a field trip to the Des Moines Playhouse to see Charlotte's Web.  There was a lottery to pick 2 parent chaperones and I was chosen!  We had such a fun day and the kids all did a great job siting through the show.  They had been reading and discussing the book so they were very familiar with the story.  It was a great day.

Bailey's favorite redneck toy...seriously, she shakes that can full of pennies for hours!
