On Saturday at Home Depot they had a special kid's craft project and a visit from Santa. Zach gets so shy around Santa which surprises me. As we were leaving we found a Black Friday deal on a Christmas train set. I have always wanted a Christmas train so we had fun playing with that all day. We also helped Mimi & Papa decorate their tree and we decorated our tree. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
It seems we only get the camera out on holidays and "big" occasions. My goal for 2011 is to take a picture each day of the normal everyday moments that make us a family. This blog is to keep the images together so one day Zach can enjoy them.

We had a great Thanksgiving with family. We started off with lunch at the Legion with the Palmers. It wasn't the same without Grandma Palmer, but it was great to see everyone. The boys had fun running around and playing.
We spent the afternoon at the farm. Chris & Zach had fun riding 4 wheelers but I was too warm & lazy to go out and take pictures.
All in all, it was a great day filled with amazing food & family. We are so thankful to have you all in our lives!

My dad is taking a class at DMACC on Tuesdays night. Mimi called and asked if Zach would like to help inject the turkey since Papa wasn't there to help. To say he was excited was an understatement!

Much to our dismay, Zach has become a Kansas Jayhawk fan. I can't even remember how it started, but he loves how it annoys us. Instead of fighting it, we have decided to embrace it. We had tickets to Saturday's game (ISU vs. Kansas), but once they announced kick-off was 7pm and the high was 12 degrees, we decided we weren't going. Zach was devastated. I told him we could have a watch party with Kansas decorations...and then found out we don't get the channel the game was on. A quick call to Mimi and the problem was solved. We got ribs from Woody's & burnt ends, sausage, mac 'n cheese, & chicken from Smokey D's and had a "Battle of the Birds" party. I think it brought the Cyclones luck!

Chris is a real stickler about no Christmas before Thanksgiving...but I wore him down enough to get this free picture of Zach with Santa & Mrs.Claus at Homemakers. You can't beat a free picture...even if it is the week before Thanksgiving!

To celebrate ISU's big basketball victory against Michigan tonight, this post is titled "Born a Cyclone!" Go State!

Saturday we went to the ISU vs. TCU Homecoming football game. The weather was cool but actually not too bad for November. The highlight for Zach is always the Junior Cyclone Club Zone before the game, but we had fun sitting on the hill and hanging out. The actual football game left a little to be desired! Is it basketball season yet?
